The site has an interesting history, the current owner acquired the land in 1980, with its unimpeded views across the Thames Estuary: West up the Thames, North to Essex & the East Anglia coastline, & East towards Margate

The left wing of East End House was originally a farm dwelling that the MoD took over in 1939. They added the central round constucted of 12" thick reinforced concrete, with access by wooden ladder type steps to the flat roof. The bow window at the top was an open observation post housing then state of the art calibrated position prediction equipment. Inside the ceiling above the bay is very but the views from the now self contained flat stunning

The right hand wing is a post war construction

The single story buildings by the antenna & opposite were the men's barracks
