Whitstable Rotary Club organised gig held at the Kings Hall, Herne Bay, Kent on Saturday 7th March 2009
11 bands competed representing 8 local schools with guest appearance from the 2008 winners 'Blood Lust'

'Cherry & the Bakewells' represented Simon Langton Girls, Freddie, Meridyth, Clarice & Alice describe themselves as an Indie Alternative 4 piece with a name inspired from the lack of bakewells in Iceland!

'Sunset Leopard'

'Sunset Leopard' representing Herne Bay High initially got together to perform a school carol concert they've been together ever since & name bands as diverse as the Black Stone Crows to the Beatles as early influences

'Supernova'

'Supernova' representing Herne Bay High this versatile 3 piece have impressed with their energetic & enthusiastic renditions of Alternative Rock

'The Dani Groombridge Band'

'Dani Groombridge Band' representing Simon Langton Girls perform original material with a soul tinge

'Rise for Every Fall'

'Rise for Every Fall' representing Canterbury College a popular experienced Hardcore Rock Outfit have been playing together for 12 months

'Johnny & The Monitors'

'Johnny & the Monitors' representing Archbishops were runners up in 2008 they've developed & now include their own material in their set

'Rose Above Thorns'

'Rose Above Thorns' representing Herne Bay High are a a 4 piece formed in early 2009 they're & have shown they are enthusiastic& skilled performers

'Keep Method'

'Keep Method' representing schools in Thanet are experienced Scream Rockers: Fall Out Boy, Enter Shikari & Silverstein are major influences
'Twisted Biscuit'

'Twisted Biscuit' representing Simon Langton Boys have been together since 2007 proficient & strong their musical influences come from the Arctic Monkeys through to Metalica

'Covered in Ketchup'

'Covered in Ketchup' are Ariane, Violet & Ellie a 3 piece Indie Rock Band representing Simon Langton Girls, since the 2008 contest they've played Lounge on the Farm & Orange Street
